Accesibility

Start of main content

The accessibility in the web makes possible the access to the information and to different types of contents because it reduces in a notable way barriers of physical or technical type.

In recent years there have been various initiatives to coordinate a set of guidelines aimed at improving accessibility on the web. Between all of them, stands out the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI), which is part of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). This organization has developed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 1.0 which aims to make Web content accessible to people with disabilities.

Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 1.0 cited above, speaks of a set of rules to be followed in developing a website and which are referred to in the Law 51/2003 of December 2, of equal opportunities, non discrimination and universal accessibility for the people with disabilities, and Law 34/2002 of 11 July, of services of the information society and electronic commerce (LSSICE), published in the B.O.E. July 12, RD 1497/2007 of 12 November which approves the regulation on basic conditions for access of persons with disabilities to technology, products and services related to information society and social media communication.

Therefore, one of the main objectives of the Técnicas Reunidas web is that all users can browse the contents of this site without difficulties of access, regardless of any physical or technical disability.

To this end, we have studied the various features of this portal so that users can access to all the contents with greater skill. Among the main highlights:

  • HTML and CSS code used are adjusted to formal grammar to ensure the proper display of the content in different browsers.
  • Visual features of the portal (font, size, font and background color, etc..) are defined using the stylesheet so that the user can adjust the text to his preferences.
  • It has been taken into account the semantic structure and composition of the site. For them, the contents of the different templates has been organized taking into account the section headings, lists and all the elements that help the general understanding of the site.
  • Alternatives have been provided for multimedia content used on the site (video, flash, audio, etc).

Técnicas Reunidas is not responsible for validation and accessibility of content provided by external sources:
