The accessibility in the web makes possible the access to the information and to different types of contents because it reduces in a notable way barriers of physical or technical type.
In recent years there have been various initiatives to coordinate a set of guidelines aimed at improving accessibility on the web. Between all of them, stands out the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI), which is part of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). This organization has developed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 1.0 which aims to make Web content accessible to people with disabilities.
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 1.0 cited above, speaks of a set of rules to be followed in developing a website and which are referred to in the Law 51/2003 of December 2, of equal opportunities, non discrimination and universal accessibility for the people with disabilities, and Law 34/2002 of 11 July, of services of the information society and electronic commerce (LSSICE), published in the B.O.E. July 12, RD 1497/2007 of 12 November which approves the regulation on basic conditions for access of persons with disabilities to technology, products and services related to information society and social media communication.
Therefore, one of the main objectives of the Técnicas Reunidas web is that all users can browse the contents of this site without difficulties of access, regardless of any physical or technical disability.
