Petrochemicals

TR has gained extensive experience in petrochemicals, chemicals and fertilizers through the design and construction of approximately 100 processing units and plants throughout the world. TR has constructed processing units that produce monomers and various kinds of polymers and plastics, and chemical plants and units that produce fertilizers such as diammonium phosphate (DAP), monoammonium phosphate (MAP), nitrogen-phosphate-potassium (NPK) and nitric acid, among others.

In the case of chemical plants, TR has its own technology, which has been and continues to be used successfully in industrial processes. TR's experience in this area also includes know-how regarding a broad range of technologies used in the production of olefins, aromatics, raw materials for detergents and others.  

Olefins

Including the production plants for the corresponding monomers (light olefins) and their derivatives:

  • Ethylene.
  • Glycol.
  • High density polyethylene.
  • Ethers.
  • Low density polyethylene.
  • Isopropylic alcohol.
  • Polypropylene.
  • Vinyl chloride monomer.
  • Propylene oxide.

  • Etanolamines.
  • Vinyl acetate.

Aromatics

Units designed to produce aromatic hydrocarbons such as benzene, toluene and xylene:

  • Aromatic extraction.
  • Terephtalate dimethyl.
  • Ethylbenzene.
  • Cumene-Phenol-Acetone.
  • Monomer styrene and polystyrene.
  • Hydrodealkylation.
  • Ciclohexane.
  • Caprolactam.
  • Ciclohexanone.
  • Polycarbonates.

Raw Materials for Detergents

Herewith indicated are the process units for a petrochemical complex dedicated to the production of Linear Alkylbenzene and Fatty Alcohols, which finally are used in the production of detergents:

  • Dehydrogenation.
  • Alkylation.
  • N-paraffin/N-olefin separation.
  • Gasification of Vacuum Residue.
  • .Elimination of Acid Gas.
  • Hydroformilation.
  • Hydrogene Recovery.

Other Petrochemical Plants

TR group also has experience in the following petrochemical plants:

  • Hydrogenation of thermoplastic rubber.
  • Carbon black.
  • Additives for lubricants.
  • Chlorocarbides.
  • Blending of polymers.
  • Hexanodiol.

TR has designed and constructed the auxiliary services and offsites necessary to complete all the referred process units.
