We deliver engineering services for research and development, we license our own technology and we provide technical assistance

We like to develop technologies, by ourselves and with others

Our Proprietary Technology Development Division investigates and builds technologies and licenses in trending topics of the energy and resources industries like metals, critical raw materials, environment, biorefining and chemical processes.

Through this practice, we deliver engineering services for research and development, we license our own technology and we provide technical assistance.

Collaboration is key for technology development

Our strategy is based on an intense interaction with innovative companies and research institutions with an open innovation approach.

We collaborate with universities, research centres, small, medium and large companies in the search for solutions to technical challenges of scientific and industrial interest.

Working together with the different links in the value chain, within a sector and between complementary sectors, makes it easier to solve technical problems.

This work model has resulted in our participation in national and European projects in areas as diverse as self-healing materials, renewable energy storage, biorefinery, electric vehicles, ionic liquids, water treatment and recovery of high added value metals from minerals and complex waste.
