Técnicas Reunidas has received today from AENOR the recognition of the 25 uninterrupted years in which the Quality Management System has been certified according to the ISO 9001 standard.
This norm is the standard that regulates Quality Management Systems on an international scale, and is therefore the main reference for ensuring the quality of the products and services supplied by companies, reducing the risks of error and providing a solid basis for their initiatives to improve performance and efficiency.
At the award ceremony, held at the Técnicas Reunidas headquarters in Madrid, Mr. Enrique Megía, Director of AENOR in Madrid, stressed the importance of supporting Management Systems certifications as a differentiating element for the improvement of company processes and also indicated the importance of the work carried out abroad by Spanish companies such as Técnicas Reunidas.
On behalf of Tecnicas Reunidas, Mr. Jesus Rodriguez, Chief Operating Officer, stressed that “our Quality System and the fact that it is backed by a globally accepted standard are an essential element to guarantee the competitiveness of our products and services in the different markets in which we operate and thus build stable and lasting relationships of trust with our clients”.
It should be noted in this respect that the company’s current portfolio of projects in the execution phase amounts to a total of 11.1 billion euros. Throughout its 60-year history, the company has developed more than 1,000 industrial plants in 25 countries on five continents.
The implementation of the Técnicas Reunidas Quality System is the responsibility of the company’s management. Its fundamental activities are to promote the automation of Quality processes, develop applications that improve efficiency and cost in projects, promote training in Quality and talent management, and ensure the measurement and monitoring of a wide range of process performance indicators.
D. Alfonso Pascual, the Company’s Quality Director, emphasized that this system “is focused on the continuous improvement of our processes, in order to learn from the activities carried out, detect and implement new opportunities and achieve advances in efficiency that will give us a greater competitive advantage”.
One of the main focuses of Técnicas Reunidas is to ensure that its more than 6,800 employees know, accept and internalize the company’s Quality Policy in order to consolidate its headquarters in Spain as a center of excellence in engineering from where it exports know-how in energy technologies all over the world.
